- Phase 1:
- Tearing paper to create collage.
- Phase 2:
- Tearing paper to create collage.
- Adding lines within collage.
Engagement/Introduction:
- Phase 1: Begin with having students do a quick write before exploring color symbolism.
- Phase 2: Students brainstorm before every class member tries to come up with a unique line.
Assessment Procedure: Assessment is done via the actual collages they create and is adaptable to be verbal or written on the part of the student (depending on your needs and application).
Materials:

- Cardstock or other thick paper base (6×6″ square recommended)
- Origami paper in multiple colors
- Glue Sticks
- Phase 2:
- Add ultra-fine, fine, and chisel Sharpies
