Scientists need artists to visually (and auditorily) represent their thinking. Taking time to share a new medium such as watercolor painting to represent different phenomena in nature engages students. Participants will learn and practice watercolor painting techniques using the human body system representation as a model. We will then brainstorm and discuss how students can transfer this new skill to creating a different science concept. No experience in watercolor painting is necessary.
