In the art room Kindergarten students made paper bag book covers and play binoculars to bring with on their nature center field trip. On the field trip students were encouraged to be scientists and record their findings in their journals either through the guided writing pages, leaf rubbings, drawings, or a more open ended style using a variety blank pages. Hear about how these journals created a more authentic and engaging learning experience and how they can be adapted for a variety of field trips.
