Careers in Art
Student Employment
The art department hires students to work in the art galleries as attendants (work-study is necessary), computer lab assistants, and as lab assistants in the many art labs. Duties vary according to lab assignment, but may include:
- Preparing materials for class
- Helping maintain an organized lab
- Monitoring safety
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the instructor
An art background is often helpful. When positions are available, they are posted on Handshake in the first few weeks of classes.
