Facilities and Equipment

Design students also make significant use of an exclusive Design computer lab, which contains 20 Apple iMacs, 27-inch, 3.2 GHz i5 workstations, copies of the latest version of Adobe's Creative Cloud, and a flatbed, tabloid-sized scanner. In addition, Design students have access to the Art Department’s general computer lab containing the same software installations but running on older hardware. Lastly, area classrooms have convenient access to a resource center and other graphics equipment and tools.

  • 20 Apple iMac, 27-inch, 2.06Hz Intel Core 2 Duo workstations (General Lab)
  • Running Mac OS v10.11 "El Capitan"
  • Installed Software: Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office 2016, AutoDesk Maya

It is recommended that design students who wish to work from home have the same or similar software. Students are eligible to purchase software and computers at discounted prices. Visit UW Oshkosh IT website for information or find on-campus computer labs.
