Russ Young Leadership and Achievement Award
The Russ Young Leadership and Achievement Award was established in 2009 in honor of Russ Young, head football coach at UW Oshkosh from 1963 to 1976. Coach Young left a legacy of leadership and commitment to excellence, both on and off the field. He embraced the values of fair competition, mentoring others, leading by example, and leaving a positive impact on student athletes at UW Oshkosh long after they left the playing field.
This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated the ideals of Russ Young’s legacy through their record of accomplishments in their career or cause, community involvement, moral character, and positive contributions to the world of sports.
