Pepian Workshop

This is the Guatemala group with Maria Elena and Maria Benita, who taught us how to make the traditional Guatemalan dish Pepian.

Good afternoon! We arrived at the school and saw that the art scholars stenciled the mural and we started on painting! We’re about to eat lunch (sandwiches, pineapple, mangos, chips) and then have a panel discussion on education! ¡Hasta tarde!

Day 4

The New Orleans group went to the Clement Street Farmers Market for goodies this morning then relaxed in a park. Now we are eating our lunches before heading to the job site to work the 1pm-7pm shift. P.S. It’s a lovely 73 degrees currently 🙂
