Hola from your blogger Ashley!

This is the first picture of us in Honduras! We woke up a little earlier than the rest so we did a mini photoshoot and explored the hotel. We ended the day with a meal at the home of one of the OYE scholars. Her family was there cooking us papusas– they were delicous!

After dinner, we talked around the table and then the music began. The scholars put on their favorite tunes and invited us to dance with. We danced together, even if we weren’t ready for salsa moves! We are going to have dance lessons tomorrow, and us UWO kids need to teach them some ‘American’ moves.. Tomorrow we are going to finish the base of the mural, and continue to work until it is finished! We are also going to hear more stories from the scholars, and learn about the Honduran reality. More updates tomorrow!
