Favorite thing about the UARC: Working with an amazingly talented and compassionate team of advisors and student employees.

Advice: Be kind to yourself. The seeds we plant within grow the harvest we share with the world.

In my spare time, I like to: Spend time with my family.

Favorite thing about the UARC: The people.

Advice: Listen to your own inner voice. Figure out what YOU want and make it happen. Others may think it is not realistic, but yours is the only opinion that matters. It is YOUR life after all.

Places I’ve Lived: Minnesota (St. Joseph and Minneapolis), London, Chicago, Arkansas and Fond du Lac.

In my spare time, I like to: Hang out with my family and friends, cook, travel and spend time outdoors.

Favorite thing about the UARC: I have many favorite things but one of them is the awesome advisors I get to work with every day.

Advice: College is the perfect time to step outside of your comfort and try new things; take advantage of those opportunities.

In my spare time, I like to: SCUBA and snorkel, play with my daughter and dog, travel, explore zoos and aquaria, and hike or anything outdoors.

Favorite thing about the UARC: It’s a great group of student and professional advisors that share a common goal, assisting students in finding their passions while navigating the University and choosing an academic plan.  We work hard and play hard together!

Advice: Find your purpose.  Think about how your passions and skills over lap.  How will you contribute to society?  Don’t be afraid to ask questions more than once, read more than once and do things more than once!

In my spare time, I like to: I like to read and I have my own handmade greeting card business

Favorite thing about the UARC: Everyone’s willingness to help one another!

Advice: Take time for you each day.  College is a marathon, not a sprint.

In my spare time, I like to: do yard work; make art; read or listen to books; write; and spending time with my kids, friends, my partner, and my cat, Beep.

Favorite thing about the UARC: The advisors and the PALS care and dedication to students.

Advice: You came to college to learn new things. Don’t beat yourself up for how much you do or don’t know and how fast you are or aren’t learning. Just be open to everything!

In my spare time, I like to: walk, read, watch sports, boat, snowmobile and spend time with family and friends

Favorite thing about the UARC: Collaborating with a great team and helping students navigate their educational path!

Advice: Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Advisors, instructors, and other staff members are here to help. Enjoy your college experience!

Advice: Don’t be afraid to ask questions and learn where to find answers. We are here to help you find the resources you need. Get involved on campus early, this will help you meet people and start to build your professional network.

In my spare time, I like to: Travel, read, camp, watch a good movie and spend time with my family.

Favorite thing about the UARC: Guiding students in their college career and working with staff  who are dedicated in what they do.

Advice: Attend class, manage time well, check your email, explore and take advantage of all of the academic resources on campus.

Places I’ve Lived: Rosendale, Wisconsin; Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Harrisonburg, Virginia; La Crosse, Wisconsin; Platteville, Wisconsin; Viroqua, Wisconsin; and back to Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

In my spare time, I like to: Garden; play with my dogs; read; crafts; genealogy

Favorite thing about the UARC: No two days are the same!  Each student coming in for advising has different concerns and goals. Our challenge is to help meet each student where they are and help them get where they wish to go.

Advice: Don’t be afraid of trying new things.  But also keep up your hobbies and other interests while you are in college.  You never know when the different parts of your life may intersect and give you new opportunities.

In my spare time, I like to: Knit, read, and spend time with my friends and family.

Favorite thing about the UARC: I really enjoy getting to meet all the wonderful students and learn about them while helping them work toward their goals and seeing them succeed.

Advice: Come in to the UARC early and come in often!

In my spare time, I like to: Spend time with my family and friends, craft time, travel and eat (I really enjoy food)!

Favorite thing about the UARC: The support this office offers to students is an incredible service that they should take full advantage of. I love working with students and talking about the endless opportunities available to them while in school and once they are ready to graduate.

Advice: Don’t compare your college experience to someone else’s and have the mindset that there is only one way to “do college.” This is your experience and you have the chance to make it whatever you want it to be. Explore new things, meet new people and make the most of it while you can!
