This process is for students who have not attended UW Oshkosh for at least one semester (not including the summer term). If you were recently suspended and have not yet sat out for one semester, please email appeals@uwosh.edu for information on your next steps.

To Apply for Re-entry From Suspension: 

Previously suspended students must submit the following materials to apply for re-entry from suspension:

• An online re-entry application
  • No application fee is required for re-entry students who have completed coursework at UW Oshkosh as a degree-seeking, undergraduate student
  • Please be sure to list any universities or colleges you have attended since leaving UW Oshkosh
• Official transcripts from any universities or colleges you have attended since leaving UW Oshkosh
• A written statement addressing the following prompts should be written on the campus statement page of the reentry application:
  • The specific difficulties you faced the last time you attended UW Oshkosh that contributed to
    your suspension (if extenuating circumstances are noted supporting documentation must be
    included)
  • The steps you have already taken and/or will take to remedy the situation for next term. Include
    any relevant documentation of services that you utilized while you were suspended and/or are
    planning to use if your appeal is approved.
  • Your specific and detailed academic plan.

Re-entry students do not need to provide transcripts, unless they have attended another institution after their enrollment at UW Oshkosh.

Re-Entry From Suspension Application and Appeal Deadlines

Your appeal for re-entry from suspension should be received by the admissions office by:

• July 15 for the fall semester*
• Dec. 15 for the spring semester*

*The Admissions Office will continue to accept application materials after these posted deadlines, but can not guarantee that an appeal received after these dates will be reviewed.

The Admissions Decision

An Academic Advising Review Committee will make the admissions decision regarding your appeal for re-entry based on your prior academic record, information you provide in making your appeal and any supporting documentation you submit.
