Admissions Timeline
When can students apply?
High school seniors who are planning to graduate in 2025 should consider the following date:
- August 1, 2024: The application for admission goes live. Seniors may start to fill in their application at https://apply.wisconsin.edu. If a student requires a paper application, they can download a copy here.
High school juniors, who are planning to graduate in 2026, should consider the following date:
- August 1, 2025: The application for admission will go live, students can then begin their application and submit it once complete!
How long does it take to get an admissions decision?
Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis upon successful receipt of all application materials. Typical decisions take approximately 2-3 weeks.
What happens after admission to the University?
Once a student is admitted to the University, they will receive communication from our office regarding their next steps. Typically, students will hold their spot via our online Hold Your Spot form. Once processed, students will receive their UW Oshkosh login information, access to sign up for Titan Takeoff (once available) and can submit their housing application.
Housing selection dates are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis — so, if students have a specific hall they would like to live in, it is beneficial to do this process early.
Students typically follow the processes for placement testing and class registration in early 2025.
