Faculty and Staff Inclusive Excellence Workshop

Held in Spring and Fall

Academic Support of Inclusive Excellence presents “Inclusive Excellence:  The Margin of Success in Higher Education.” This is a two-hour interactive workshop where participants will take a Cultural Competence Self-assessment test to learn about the dimensions of identity and culture and review a comparison of identity formation models.

Registration is limited to the first 25 people.  Register here by Thursday, October 4, 2018.

Academic Support of Inclusive Excellence presents “Inclusive Excellence:  The Margin of Success in Higher Education.” This is a two-hour interactive workshop where participants will take a Cultural Competence Self-assessment and:

  • Unpack the self-assessment test;
  • Learn about racial and cultural identity;
  • Engage in small group discussions

Inclusive Excellence Pedagogy Workshop

Held Annually in May

Academic Support of Inclusive Excellence is offering an Inclusive Excellence Pedagogy Workshop in May which is designed to equip faculty with Inclusive Excellence Pedagogy to teach a diverse student body. This workshop is offered in collaboration with the Center for Excellence, Teaching and Learning. Watch for registration details.

 

S.A.F.E. Training

Help make the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh a safer and more welcoming place for the LGBTQ+ community by participating in S.A.F.E. Training (Students, Staff and Faculty for Equality). Participants take part in a three hour interactive workshop designed to introduce you to LGBTQ+ terms, culture, some of the challenges that many LGBTQ+ people encounter in their lives, and how to be an effective ally both in and out of the classroom.
