WRST has been broadcasting from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus for over 40 years. Located at 90.3 on your FM dial, WRST prides itself in providing a diverse programming format to Oshkosh, Wisconsin and other Fox Valley communities. The WRST call letters stand for Radio Station of the Titans. Doctor Robert L. Snyder originally started the station; he was hired in the early 1960’s to start a broadcast media program.

WRST has been in service since April 20th, 1966. At that time our studio was located in what was the Fuller Goodman Lumber Company office facilities. The antenna (a twelve foot pole) and the transmitter were located on the Gruenhagen Conference Center rooftop.
In 1971 the studios, offices, transmitter and antenna were relocated to the newly built Arts and Communication center. Our operating power was raised from 10 to 960 watts. Also, stereo generation was added to our signal and our frequency was changed from 88.1 FM to 90.3 FM.
Throughout Our History, WRST has been dedicated to providing quality alternative programming to area listeners while serving as training facility for University of Wisconsin Oshkosh students, primarily in the Radio-TV-Film Major.
WRST started streaming all local programming to the world on April 5, 2005.
