Station History
WRST has been broadcasting from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus for over 40 years. Located at 90.3 on your FM dial, WRST prides itself in providing a diverse programming format to Oshkosh, Wisconsi and other Fox Valley communities. The WRST call letters stand for Radio Station of the Titans. Doctor Robert L. Snyder orginally started the station; he was hired in the early 1960's to start a broadcast media program.
WRST Mission Statement
1. To provide listeners in the city o Oshkosh and surrounding areas with a schedule of educational, information and entertaining programming complementary to that which is offered by other radio servics.
2. To provide students interested in broadcasting with the opportunity to gain experience in the operation of a radio station under the professional supervision.
3. To provide the University of Wisconsin Oskosh with an effective instrument of public information in the area from which it draws most of its students, acquainting the public with the programs and activites of the University.
4. Summary: Service through Education.
