- November 10th -- Women-Owned Businesses Competing in a "Man's World"
- Speaker: Paula Condor, CEO & Owner, Promo Print Solutions
Paula began her work in the printing business over 35 years ago when working at her father’s business, a sheet-fed offset printing plant. Working there for nearly 20 years, she gained valuable knowledge about many facets of the printing world:
• Shipping and receiving
• Hand bindery
• Machine bindery
• Press operating
• Pre-pressAfter working on the production floor of her father’s business, she moved into the office and worked as the first customer service representative and estimator. During the next eight years, Paula developed and built a team of project managers and estimators.
Once her father sold his business to his partner, Paula decided to move on to a new company, initially hired into a small trial group that studied the effectiveness of producing multi-component in-store promotions.
From there she moved on to head the customer service department of another corporate division, educating employees on multi-component promotion project management. Her third corporate assignment was to start a new division for processing single- and multi-component programs. Under her management the department grew to manage $5 million worth of sales within a few years.
After gaining extensive knowledge about the printing world, Paula realized she had the will and drive to make her business dreams a reality. She decided to go for it and start her own promotional printing business: Promo Print Solutions.
