Current Programs:
Health & Wellbeing
- Wellness Classes --YOGA
- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Women's Self-Defense) -- this class teaches very basic positions and maneuvers from the martial art of Jiu Jitsu, a purely grappling martial art with techniques well suited for women's self-defense and can be very effective in sexual assault/date rape situations.
- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Women's Self-Defense) Class. Wednesdays, October 22nd through December 3rd (5:00 - 7:00PM) Pre-registration is required (class is full).
- Informational Presentations -- on holistic personal development; mind, body, and spirit.
- 6th Sensory World -- Sunday Evenings (9/14 thru 12/7) 4:30-6:30PM -- We are all multisensory beings. Each of us has the ability to hear, feel, smell or see outside of our third dimensional world. Being multisensory is your birthright. It helps you to gain insight, information and knowledge. This then provides you with the ability to make life choices that are best for you and keep you safe from harm.
- Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) Class -- co-sponsor -- offered for credit through UW Oshkosh
Strengthening Families (Work/Life Balance)
- Working Mom's Network -- This support group meets the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9-11AM at Starbucks (Murdock & Jackson location)..This group encourages working mothers to socialize, discuss topics of concern, and learn about community resources that may be of assistance.

- November 20th (Noon - 1:00PM) Warden Cathy Jess, Warden of the Wisconsin Women’s Correctional System (WWCS) will speak regarding the issues and intricacies of running a female prison
- November 28th & 29th (9AM - 2PM): FREE gift wrapping at Barnes & Noble (Appleton location). Do your holiday shopping and have Women's Center staff wrap your gifts free of charge!
