In order to submit your poetry, prose, and artwork to the Wisconsin Review, please follow these guidelines.
The Wisconsin Review Submission Guidelines:
The Wisconsin Review publishes both new and established authors of outstanding poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. We publish biannually in the spring and fall. The Wisconsin Review retains First North American Serial Rights of published work. We accept submissions of the following types:
Please limit yourself to 3-5 poems per submission. Use a 12-point font single spaced (double space between stanzas). One poem per page. Any style will be considered, although we seek exceptional use of imagery and awareness of form.
Please limit yourself to 15 pages double-spaced with a 12-point font. Standard or experimental styles will be considered, although we look for outstanding characterization and unique themes.
Please limit yourself to 15 pages double-spaced with a 12-point font. We accept creative non-fiction and general interest non-fiction only.
We are interested in any and all styles of art. Black and white and color are accepted. Physical or digital copies are acceptable.
All submissions should include a cover letter with a brief biography and a self-addressed stamped envelope with appropriate postage. To facilitate faster communication, please include an active email address.
Wisconsin Review is open to submission August 1, 2015 - March 1, 2016.
There is a $2 reading fee for electronic submissions (pennies more than the cost of stamps, envelopes, paper and ink needed for paper submissions). Current subscribers can submit for free.
Contributors will receive two free copies for accepted work.
