Seminars by UW System Postdoctoral Scholars

Female Postdoctoral scholars in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) departments at UW Madison and UW Milwaukee are invited to apply to give a research seminar next Spring semester at one of the UW System's eleven comprehensive universities.  A grant from National Science Foundation's ADVANCE: Increasing the Participation and Advancement of Women in Academic Science and Engineering Careers, will pay for the postdoctoral scholar's travel expenses.

The selected scholars will each visit one campus, where they will meet with students and faculty and share interesting research in a 40-45 minute seminar.  These will be opportunities for the scholars to practice interview skills, and the host departments will provide feedback on the presentations.  The scholars will also learn about academic careers at primarily undergraduate institutions.

Postdoctoral scholars who would like to give a seminar in Spring 2016 should fill out the online "Seminar Application" and the "Postdoc Survey" by midnight on Monday, November 16. Decisions will be announced by December 21.
