Seminars by UW System Postdoctoral Scholars
Female Postdoctoral scholars in STEM departments at UW Madison and UW Milwaukee are invited to apply to give a research seminar at one of the UW System's eleven comprehensive universities. A grant from National Science Foundation's ADVANCE: Increasing the Participation and Advancement of Women in Academic Science and Engineering Careers, will pay for the postdoctoral scholar's travel expenses. The visit will bring news of interesting research to students and faculty in the host department. The postdocs will learn about academic careers at primarily undergraduate institutions, and receive feedback on their presentations which may be helpful in future job talks.
Postdoctoral scholars who would like to give a seminar in Spring 2012 should fill out the online "Seminar Application" and the "Postdoc Survey." Decisions will be announced by December 20.
