Opening Workshop for New STEM Educators

Every Fall, the Women and Science Program brings new educators in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) together for a 2-day workshop. Workshop sessions focus on student-centered pedagogies, classroom and campus climate issues for underrepresented students, and active learning strategies as they apply to STEM.

Spring Conference

The Spring Conference provides an opportunity for STEM educators and administrators to come together to share best practices and present recent findings about teaching to a broad student audience. In such a widespread University system, this event helps to build important connections and collaborations.

In 2010 we are joining other UW System programs at the UW System President’s Summit on Excellence in Teaching and Learning, April 30-May 2 in Madison.  If you would like to give a talk at the summit, follow the link for an online submission form (deadline Nov. 4, 2009).
