WASAH Program Requirements & Benefits
A brief overview of the various WASAH program requirements teaching scholars must fulfill and benefits they will receive.
WASAH Requirements & Benefits
1.) Each year, participants will receive either 3 graduate credits in history from UW Oshkosh or a $600 cash stipend, upon successful completion of all required project components.
2.) Other project benefits include: visiting content-rich archival centers; becoming familiar with characteristics of and use of primary and archival documents; meeting and networking with other fellow history teachers; creating and implementing history-rich lesson plans; and ’rubbing shoulders with’ numerous historians and history curriculum experts.
3.) WASAH project requirements include: (a) attending all required sessions, workshops and seminars; (b) submitting annual lesson plans and narratives detailing researching experiences; (c) sharing learned content and experiences with peers through inservices and meetings; (d) participating in and completing all project evaluation activities tailored for teachers and their students; and (e) allowing WASAH to electronically post completed lesson plans and work products.
