Chicago Trip -- Pullman Neighborhood Resources

Folder includes a description of some resources and websites Brett Barker came across, along with a couple of pictures relating to the Pullman District.

File Pullman Factories -- Websites and Photo of Workers
From Brett Barker: I found some information those who toured Pullman might find interesting. 1) Here's a photo of workers leaving the factory. The tour guide mentioned this photo, and how the spaces between the buildings were later filled in. This would have been near where we entered the factory grounds. see attached photo: pullmanworkers.jpg 2) Here's a good site about Pullman: http://www.pullman-museum.org/ . I found this section with maps fascinating: http://www.pullman-museum.org/phhp/maps/ . In particular, the first map on that page has red dots that can be clicked to show historic photos taken from that spot. There are many other great photos and maps on the site.
File Photo of Factory, Circa 1890
From Brett Barker The one area from the Pullman website's map page (described in the other file) that struck me was this one, attached below, which is an aerial photo from above the factory, from left to right where you can see the Market, the Greenstone Church, the Florence, and the Arcade.
