RAD Self Defense Course Robin West of the University Police and Liz Cannon of the Women's Studies program are offering a Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) course for women. This is a one credit course offered as an independent study through Women's Studies. What is RAD? RAD is a self-defense program that teaches women how to respond to rape or sexual assault. The goal of RAD is to "develop and enhance the options of self defense, so they may become viable considerations to the woman who is attacked." RAD teaches a variety of mental and physical techniques. This is a 7-week course and usually meets on Wednesday nights from 4-6.
