Memory Corps Information Fair

The Memory Corps Information Fair  provides opportunities for veterans and their families to learn how to preserve the records of their wartime experience. Learn how to store and keep:

  • Photos
  • Videos
  • Emails
  • Documents
  • Equipment and uniforms

You materials need proper care to ensure that they will be available in the future for children, grandchildren and others to learn from.Takes steps now to preserve these fragile artifacts.

Learn from professionals in archival processes, including staff from:

  • UW Oshkosh Archives and Area Research Center
  • Wisconsin Historical Society
  • Wisconsin Veterans Museum

These archivists and curators willl be on hand to discuss strategies for keeping veterans’ “stuff"  safe so that nothing important is lost to technical problems, neglect or decay.

UW Oshkosh history students will also be on hand to share samples of oral histories they have recorded of Iraq War veterans and discuss opportunities for visitors to record their own interview.

Registration for the Symposium is not required to visit Memory Corps.
