Shawn is an Iraq War Veteran and a 2007 graduate of UW Oshkosh with double majors in geography and international studies. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public administration.

Before joining the UW Oshkosh VRC, Shawn worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs as an OEF/OIF peer counselor and as a PTSD program assistant at the Madison VA hospital. Shawn is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of the Purple Heart and the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.

Michelle is a 2011 graduate of UW Oshkosh with a major in human resources. While she is not a veteran herself, she is a daughter of an Army veteran. Michelle is originally from California but moved to Wisconsin when she was 11 years old. She began working in the Registrar's Office as a work study student her freshman year of college. When she graduated, Michelle became part-time staff.
