UW Oshkosh and VRC understands the important role that family members play in the support and success of your veterans. VRC extends its services to those family members in order to assist them in reaching their academic goals.
Post 9/11 GI Bill
Since the enactment of new Post 9/11 GI Bill, more and more veterans are taking advantage of the opportunity to "transfer" their educational benefits to one or more of their dependents. The veteran must submit the application online at www.gibill.va.gov or complete the form in our office in Dempsey 130.
The University does NOT evaluate your service record to determine your benefits eligibility; that is the role of the VA. However, if you have questions regarding education benefits please do not hesitate to contact us.
WI GI Bill Tuition Remission
The Wisconsin GI Bill provides as full waiver ("remission") of tuition and fees for eligible veterans and their dependents for up to 8 full-time semesters or 128 credits at any University of Wisconsin System (UWS) or Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) institution for continuing education, or for study at the undergraduate or graduate level.
