Quest Speaking and Writing Information Literacy Resources

The information literacy librarian, Ted Mulvey (mulveyt@uwosh.edu), is ready to assist instructors in these two courses with this core first-year content. Polk offers many resources to support Comm 111 and WBIS instructors as they teach information literacy:

Rubrics

In addition to their focus on the "Oral and Written Communication" category of the UW Oshkosh Essential Learning Outcomes (ELO), Quest Speaking (COMM 111) courses include learning outcomes, assignments, and assessment for the Information Literacy ELO category.

Speaking and writing instructors may find the American Association of Colleges and Universities "Written Communication," "Oral Communication" and "Information Literacy" rubric useful in their course development and on-going dialogues.
