1. Tell us something about yourself. Help us to get to know you. One paragraph.
I am from Milwaukee, but grew up in Wauwatosa, which is a middle-class suburb that borders Milwaukee. I have played soccer since I was 6 and throughout my life. I went to Wauwatosa East high school and throughout my high school career, I have worked, volunteered and have been playing soccer. I worked at Summerfest one summer, and at an all-natural grocery store called Outpost Natural Foods for a year and a half. I am here at UWO pursuing a degree in business and to start a new chapter of my life.
2. What surprised you about your first semester?
I was surprised how interesting my classes were. Each class kept my interest and majority of the time I didn’t drag my feet to go to class, besides exam days. Also, I found the homework to be challenging, but beneficial and not just busy work. The homework was very much a study tool that was an extension of that class. Lastly, I was surprised by the culture here at Oshkosh. The people and the staff are majority nice and caring. I have made some great friends and learned much from the staff.
3. What do you know now that you didn’t know before you attended UW Oshkosh? Tell us something specific you learned.
I learned an important skill in my first semester, time management. It still needs much improvement, but after the first semester trying to juggle multiple things, it has improved.
