UW Oshkosh Safety Bulletin

Safety Bulletin November 2, 2012

On November 1, 2012 at 8:30pm an unknown male approached a female in lot 13 (Next to Kolf Sports Center) that was getting into her vehicle. The male pushed her driver’s door closed and stated, “I know who you are.” When the female asked who he was he stated,“you are about to find out.” The male subject then walked away. The female stated she was not threatened in any way although the behavior was confusing. The female was not touched or harmed and her vehicle was not damaged. A police investigation did not find any males matching the suspect’s description in the area.

 

It was unclear whether the situation was meant to be a threat or a prank, but an informed community is always a safer community. Please practice situational awareness and report incidents like these to the police as soon as you are safely able to.

 

 

DESCRIPTION OF THE MALE SUSPECT:

 

  •  A white male in his early to mid 20’s.
  •  Approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build
  •  Dark brown or black short facial hair –no glasses
  •  Wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black knit winter hat and jeans.
