2006, more than 2,000 UW Oshkosh employees have been trained to notice
changes in student behavior, express concern and provide information
about campus resources. And it's having a positive effect--according to
the National College Health Assessment, fewer UW Oshkosh students think about and attempt suicide.
But we still need your help. Please join us for a workshop that will prepare you to:
- Identify students in distress
- Feel more confident talking to a student in distress
- Feel more comfortable linking a student to campus resources
New faculty and staff are encouraged to attend.
Participants will receive a Listening Matters Guide to Helping Others booklet.
Please RSVP by sending an email to email@example.com.
Classroom and group presentations are available upon request by contacting Shelly Rutz Maxwell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
