The Buzz
Phase 1: When someone's blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is below .06, they feel good.
Phase 2: When this person drinks more, their BAC level rises above .06. This is when the negative effects of drinking increase and the positive effects decrease. This is known as the Biphasic Effect.
The green shaded area in the picture below is what we call the Green Zone; or more commonly known as the “Buzz”. In this BAC range, people experience a euphoric, pleasant feeling from alcohol.
