Employers want to offer effective incentives to get the most out of their new hires and current employees. During this presentation, we will discuss how to structure employment contracts to attract and retain the most qualified employees and how to get the most from them once they are hired. We also will look at strategies for providing incentives for one-time projects, as well as how to provide performance-based pay schemes without promoting excessive risk-taking behavior. You’ll leave this presentation with strategies to offer effective incentives that will positively affect the success of your organization!

Stop the Mine!

The Student Environmental Action Coalition is co-sponsoring an event about the Back Forty Sulfide Mine Canadian mining company, Aquila Resources, has proposed to build the Back Forty Sulfide Mine along the Menominee River. The mine would lie on traditional and sacred Menominee land, only 150 feet from the Menominee River, the cultural center point for more than 10,000 years of cultural history for the Menominee peoples and the center of their origin story. The Stop the Mines! Speaking Tour was coordinated by various community and student environmental organizations and the Menominee Nation. T Mark Denning from the Oneida Nation, Chantel Alvershire, Guy Reiter and Dr. Dennis Vickers are coming to UW Oshkosh to talk about the dangers of sulfide mining and the effects of the Back 40 Mine on the Menominee Tribe.
