Eleven COEHS alumni honored with Herb Kohl Fellowship Awards

Eleven University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) graduates are being honored this spring with Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship Awards. Among the alumni recipients are Terri Miller ’92, Jeff Grotenhius ’98, each of whom attribute part of their teaching success during their time at UW Oshkosh.

VIDEO: College Baseball Hall of Fame induction an honor for Jorgensen

Former University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Titans baseball shortstop and National Player of the Year Tim Jorgensen will be inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in June, the first-ever inductee from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and part of a 2012 class that includes Major League Baseball superstars Lou Brock and Nomar Garciaparra.

Schumacher steps down as UW Oshkosh women’s basketball coach

Coach Terri Schumacher made a name for herself in Oshkosh with success as a student-athlete, high school coach and collegiate coach. The 1985 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III All-American took over as UW-Oshkosh’s head coach in 2006. During her first season, the Titans posted a 19-8 record that included a 12-4 league mark for a share of the WIAC title.

Legendary UW Oshkosh men’s basketball coach retires

Coach Ted Van Dellen’s career winning percentage of .614 (358-225 record) includes 17 winning seasons in 22 years. He also coached the only three NCAA Division III All-Americans in school history with Tim Dworak (2002-03), D.J. Marsh (2009) and Dennis Ruedinger (1996).

Golden Titans: UWO alumni to return for 50th reunion

Two first-year science teachers, UWO grads, earn state recognition
