UW Oshkosh football alumnus Jim Miazga will received the Russ Young Leadership & Achievement Award at the Feb. 18 Russ Young Awards Banquet in Oshkosh. Former Packer William Henderson is set as the keynote speaker.

Connecting through internships and networking was the key to landing a job for recent UW Oshkosh graduate Erin Wilkum ’11. The alumnus is the operations team leader for the CHAPS Academy in Shiocton, Wis.

Ketchup with Kylie: Alumna hotdogging across nation

Sometime in the early 1990s, Kylie Hodges ’11, attended an audition for an Oscar Mayer “Sing the Jingle” contest. She was just a little link then, but she had big dreams of winning the contest and appearing in an Oscar Mayer commercial. Hodges may not have won the jingle contest, but today she goes by “Ketchup Kylie” and was one of the lucky few chosen to take part in the company’s Hotdogger program.

1,000 graduates to be recognized at Dec. 17 Commencement

More than 130 graduate students and nearly 860 undergraduate students are in line to receive degrees. Graduates and guests alike are encouraged to also share updates and photos via Facebook and Twitter. Family and friends who cannot attend the ceremony can watch live streaming video at the Midyear Commencement Web site.
