More than 200 pounds of clothing will be distributed to area residents in need, thanks to a fundraiser that encouraged participants to shed some garments for a good cause.

Last summer, Kim Massey left her 9-to-5 job to pursue the dream of working for herself. The 1999 political science graduate had enjoyed her job as development director of the American Red Cross of East Central Wisconsin, but the desire to become an entrepreneur, she said, was impossible to ignore.

Brian R. Haebig, ’82, a U.S. Army colonel who commands the 404th Army Field Support Brigade in Fort Lewis, Wash., returned to Wisconsin Nov. 14 to speak at the annual banquet of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) in Green Bay. He also played a special role during a half-time tribute to veterans at the Nov. 16 Green Bay Packers – Chicago Bears game by administering the oath of office to all Wisconsinites who have signed up for the Army.

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh women’s basketball alumni will return to campus Saturday, Nov. 29.

Craig Culver, a 1973 University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alumnus and co-founder of Culver Franchising System Inc., recently reflected on the reasons behind his company’s success during the grand opening of store No. 386 in South Bend, Ind.
