Students from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s Colleges of Business, Education and Human Resources, and Nursing — as well as the Office of Graduate Studies — were awarded their degrees May 17 during UW Oshkosh’s afternoon spring commencement ceremonies. Thousands of friends and families gathered to celebrate their loved ones’ achievements.Prior to the conferring of degrees, an honorary doctorate was presented to Robert Pedersen, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin.

Chancellor Richard H. Wells conferred diplomas to the graduating students at 2 p.m. at Kolf Sports Center, 785 High Ave. The students were among the University’s largest graduating class of more than 1,400 students. Morning commencement ceremonies were held at 9 a.m.
