Richard Kalinoski, resident playwright and coordinator of The Playwright’s Project’s annual Student Playwriting Contest, has announced this year’s contest. The deadline for entries has been extended to March 15.

One-act plays, written by students, can be submitted to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh theatre department, located in Arts and Communications West room 103. The winning playwright will receive a public reading, cash prize and framed commemorative certificate.

Contest rules include the following:

  • UW Oshkosh students only
  • Plays should be in manuscript format and 15 to 40 pages long
  • Plays must be handed in by March 15, 2011
  • Character list must be included with bound manuscripts
