The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Alumni Association is seeking nominations for successful UWO graduates for two top awards — the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

Nominations are due Monday, March 28.

“Recognizing the achievements of our successful graduates is one of the most significant roles of the UWO Alumni Association,” said UWO Alumni Director Christine Gantner. “I am always struck by the variety of amazing professional and civic endeavors our alumni are undertaking. They are indeed making an impact in their communities here in Wisconsin and throughout the nation and world. We are pleased to be able to recognize some of these extraordinary accomplishments through our alumni awards program.”

The Distinguished Alumni Award, the highest award that alumni can receive from the association, is awarded to individuals who are active in their professional fields and are widely recognized for their career accomplishments.

The Outstanding Young Alumni Award, honoring alumni who have graduated within the last 15 years, is given to graduates based on professional and civic accomplishments and future promise.

Award recipients will be honored in October in conjunction with Homecoming 2011 activities.
