Governor Walker has declared a state of emergency due to hazardous weather conditions. Consequently, Chancellor Wells has decided that all classes will be cancelled at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh on Wednesday, Feb. 2. However, University offices and services will remain open to employees and students. Classes will resume Thursday, Feb. 3.

Any university employees who feel they might have difficulty traveling due to the weather conditions are encouraged to exercise caution. The judgment about whether to travel to or from campus rests with the employee.

Driving conditions may vary across the region served by our campus and thus, employees need to take their own local conditions into account. Employees unable to make it to campus should notify their supervisor and follow the applicable policies or contractual language regarding inclement weather. If employees feel it is unsafe, they should not attempt the trip.

The University monitors weather conditions on an ongoing basis. If conditions change, or if you have questions, please call the UW Oshkosh Weather Line at (920) 424-0000 or visit www.uwosh.edu.

For information about campus events, please contact the event organizer directly.

Additionally, updates are provided to local radio and television stations for closing notices specific to UW Oshkosh.
