As of Jan. 24, UW Credit Union opened its doors for business at the campus branch located in Reeve Memorial Union. Students, faculty and staff may now use their linked TitanCard at any ATM and business that accepts PIN-based debit transactions.

Branch hours for spring term are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The branch will be open until 6 p.m. during the week of Jan. 31.

The full-service branch provides surcharge-free campus ATMs as part of the agreement. ATM locations include two in Reeve Union (one with 24-hour access), one in Scott Hall and one in Clow Hall. An ATM will also be placed in Sage Hall in the fall of 2011. Students, faculty and staff can obtain a newly designed TitanCard at Titan Central in Reeve Union at no additional charge beginning Jan. 31, by turning in your current card.

The agreement with UW Credit Union, which followed a competitive bidding process, will provide students, faculty and staff with an all-in-one smartcard that offers a convenient and secure way for students and employees to access campus services. The partnership also gives members of the campus community the option to open a checking account that is linked to the TitanCard, allowing it to be used as a debit card for PIN-based transactions.

This is the second partnership UW Oshkosh has had with a financial institution to provide an all-in-one smartcard option. While UW Oshkosh was one of the first in the UW System in 2005, presently a majority of System schools have a similar program. Additionally, more than 200 universities across the country have similar programs with the top six financial institutions having 134 campus partnerships in 2009.
