University of Wisconsin Oshkosh pitcher Amy Sullivan, senior, has been named the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division III Player of the Week for games held April 14-20.

Pitching in three contests, the right-handed Sullivan allowed just one earned run and seven hits in 22 innings to record victories over 14th-ranked UW-Eau Claire, UW-Whitewater and 10th-ranked UW-River Falls. Sullivan struck out 33 batters while limiting opponents to just a .096 batting average during the week.

In UW Oshkosh’s 7-0 win over UW-Eau Claire on April 15, Sullivan allowed just one hit in seven innings. She struck out nine batters and walked one.

In the Titans’ 6-1 win over UW-Whitewater on April 17, Sullivan hurled all 10 innings and yielded just four hits while striking out 13 batters.

In UW Oshkosh’s 7-0 victory over UW-River Falls on April 20, Sullivan pitched the first five innings of the contest and allowed just two hits while striking out 11 batters.

This season, Sullivan owns a 7-4 record with a 1.59 earned run average in 61.2 innings pitched. She has 97 strikeouts.

Last year, Sullivan earned NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region second team honors after posting a 14-1 record with a 1.52 earned run average.
