This two-hour workshop examines the keys to submitting a winning entry in both the Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest and the Northeast Wisconsin Business Plan Contest.

Produced by the Wisconsin Technology Council, the Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest seeks to encourage state entrepreneurs in the creation, start-up and growth of high-impact ventures. Created by the Northeast Wisconsin Regional Economic Partnership, the Northeast Wisconsin Business Plan Contest encourages the preparation of business plans for starting a business, making significant changes to an existing business, or launching new products in northeast Wisconsin. Each year, the contest awards a total of $25,000 in prizes, and the first place winner of the contest is also entered in the final round of the Governor’s Business Plan Contest. Workshop Format & Materials

This program is being broadcast using the University of Wisconsin -Extension’s Wisline Web technology. Participants have a choice of attending the workshop at one of five UW-Extension offices in East Central Wisconsin or on any computer with high-speed Internet access.

In addition to time for questions & answers, workshop participants will also be able to download useful information, publications and forms from the SBDC web site, along with contact information for organizations which provide assistance in business plan writing in Northeast Wisconsin.
