On Tuesday, September 28, from 9 to 11 a.m., New North Inc. and the UW Oshkosh Small Business Development Center will sponsor a panel discussion on how new and existing businesses in Northeast Wisconsin can take advantage of market opportunities in the alternative energy, renewable energy and energy efficiency fields.

The free program will be held in the Lake Michigan Room at Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland, Wis.
The panel discussion will include entrepreneurs from Northeast Wisconsin talking about their experiences, and an overview of state programs to support research, new product commercialization and market development in the energy field.

Among the panelists are Dan and Tracy Kaderabek, co-founders of Bio-Blend Fuels, Inc. which is involved in the production and marketing of bio diesel produced from beef tallow and vegetable oil; Charlie Gibson, founder of Oshkosh Nanotechnology LLC which is doing cutting edge research on the use of supercapacitors for electrical storage; and Jeff Ehlers, CEO of Renewegy LLC, which has designed and now manufactures a unique line of wind turbines.

Following the panel discussion, there will be an opportunity to tour of Lakeshore Technical College’s wind energy technology training facilities.
