The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Men’s Basketball Steak Fry has been set for Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Oshkosh Convention Center. The program and silent auction will begin at 7 p.m. ,with a social hour starting at 5 p.m. and the rib-eye dinner at 6 p.m.
The Steak Fry—in its fifth year—is open to the public. Tickets are $50 per person and tables of eight may be purchased for $350. Discounted tickets for UW Oshkosh faculty and staff are available at $40.
This year, the Titans are partnering with Shooting for Luke. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition in honor of Luke Peters, a 15-year old brain tumor survivor who was adopted into the Titan basketball family in 2014.
The evening will allow those in attendance to meet and socialize with the 2017-2018 Titans and hear from the team’s five senior student-athletes. There also will be door prizes and a large silent auction.
Those looking to secure tickets can click here to download the registration form. All registration forms should be returned to Kolf Sports Center, c/o Pat Juckem, 800 Algoma Blvd., by Wednesday, October 25.
For those unable to attend, there also is an opportunity to make a donation to UWO men’s basketball or sponsor the event.
The Titans are coming off a successful 2016-2017 campaign. They earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament after reaching the WIAC Championship game and finished the year with a 17-11 record. UW Oshkosh begins its new season Wednesday, Nov. 15 when it hosts Benedictine University at 7 p.m.
