It was another memorable day at the Oshkosh Country Club for the Titan Golf Classic. The annual event in its sixth year was held Friday, July 21, and focused on raising funds to help with the beautification project at Kolf Sports Center. Fundraising efforts also have a strong impact on individual athletics programs at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

The 2017 edition of the Titan Golf Classic had yet another fantastic turnout in golfers with 136 participants. Those who played in the 18-hole scramble took part in several fun on-course contests including longest putt, closest to the pin, longest drive and shortest drive. Participants also had the chance to better their scores by allowing Titan women’s golfers to play with them.

The event also included a 50/50 raffle, many raffle items and lunch and dinner provided.

Titan Director of Athletics Darryl Sims knows the success that the athletic department has achieved could not be possible without the support of those that attended.

“The Titan Golf Classic went very well and was well attended,” Sims said. “It was another positive step by our community of supporting our athletics department and our individual teams and we look forward to next year.”
