University of Wisconsin Oshkosh junior Rebecca Tolfa, of West Bend, heads to Washington, D.C. with faculty mentor Ashley Thompson next week to present her psychology research at the prestigious 2017 Posters on the Hill.
Sponsored by the Council on Undergraduate Research, the April 25-26 event showcases just 60 top research projects selected from hundreds of applications submitted by students from across the nation.
Tolfa, who has been on a whirlwind this spring presenting at a number of conferences, will share the findings from her study, “Underrepresented but Overexposed: Differences in Experiences with Discriminatory Behavior and Sexual Assault on Campus Between Gender Minority and Cisgender Students.” Tolfa’s main area of research focuses on minority and underrepresented groups in employment settings. Earlier in April, she presented in Madison at the UW System Research in the Rotunda event.
