As one of seven pilot institutions participating in the UW Equity Scorecard Project, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has begun to identify ways to address inequities that exist in educational outcomes among students of color.

Closing the gap in educational achievement by bringing retention and graduation rates for students of color in line with those of the student body as a whole is one of the goals of the project. The process involves creating a campus evidence team, analyzing existing institutional data from four perspectives (access, retention, institutional receptivity and excellence), engaging faculty, staff, and students in project analysis and in informing the evidence team as the project is developing, and finally, in the development of action steps to achieve equity in educational outcomes.

As part of the process, the UW Oshkosh Equity Scorecard Team created a report that included recommendations for the campus. The campus community is invited to attend a presentation of that report from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 in Reeve Union, 227A.
