jodi starJodi Anthony, who works in the Human Resources at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, has been named the recipient of the September STAR Award.

She was nominated by April Dutscheck, who works in the Senate Office at UW Oshkosh.

Anthony’s nomination follows:

“I would like to nominate Jodi Anthony in Human Resources for this award. She not only does her job well, she is always willing to sit down with employees and walk them through questions they have with staff to go over their benefits and payroll. You can call with a mess up, and she walks you through fixing it, she is very knowledgeable of her job, and she is always helpful, understanding and if she doesn’t know something she finds out so she can still help you. She often drops what she is working on to help and her willingness is sooo appreciated! She has worked for a number of years now in the HR Office and the comfort she brings from her years of getting to know so many staff is very evident! She has a great work ethic, and not only is HR lucky to have her, the whole campus is!” – April Dutscheck

“Jodi does a lot of work for the University Staff Senate. She has served on Senate since 2013, and volunteers on sub-committees to better many of our programs/processes. The latest program that she has been vital in revamping is the Leadership Development Program, which is an eight-part series offered to University Staff in order to teach skills such as self-management, change adaptation, effective communication, problem-solving and leadership. She has worked with a small group of University Staff to ensure that the series is effective and worthwhile.  The changes have been very positive and innovative. Her work is greatly appreciated!” – Julia Hodgen

“I have had the pleasure of working with Jodi for many years in Human Resources.  Jodi has a “whatever it takes” attitude, which makes working with her a great experience. Whatever Jodi is given, she takes it on and does her very best to be successful. Many employees may know her as the behind-the-scenes payroll person for both University Staff and students. She does a lot to make sure we are paid, and paid correctly.” – Sabrina Johnson

“Jodi is a dedicated HR staff member who genuinely holds employees best welfare at heart. She is committed to making improvements in our policies and procedures so that we can better serve the campus community. Among Jodi’s talents, is her ability to develop procedural training material and also present on what is sometimes complicated information in way that people can understand. She is most deserving of this award because of her continued efforts to help employees in any way possible. Thanks, Jodi, for all that you do!” – Shawna Kuether

“Jodi is always willing to help others, both within the HR office and also throughout campus. We appreciate her positive attitude, and are excited she is being recognized with the STAR award!” – Kimberly Olson

“Jodi has always gone above and beyond her duties to help her co-workers and employees from across campus (whom she greets with a smile and a laugh). I truly enjoy working with her and am glad that she took the time to train me when I first started as I value her expertise and “pointers”. Keep up the awesome work, Jodi, and thank you!” – Madysen Schmidt

“When I think of Jodi Anthony, I think of someone who is always willing to step in and help out wherever needed. She has helped me since I started working here and I see how she helps other people that come to HR as well.  Because of her willingness to help, I have seen her grow in her position.  She is honest, transparent, and a good leader to make sure things get done. A project she has recently headed has been the Affordable Care Act (ACA).  She is talented at researching and sharing what she knows with people.  This takes being a good communicator and a good listener. I think she is truly deserving of the STAR award.” – Sharri Wolc
