The Division of Lifelong Learning and Community Engagement at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is hosting a two-day health and wellness retreat for women.

The retreat is Sept. 16 through 18 at the Heidel House Resort and Spa in Green Lake and will offer a weekend of learning, relaxation and fun that will transform  health and wellness and increase vitality. Lessons for the weekend retreat stem from the world-renowned book, The Blue Zone Solution: Eating and Living Like the World’s Healthiest People, by New York Times bestselling author Dan Buettner.

The book will be used to frame the retreat’s lessons and walk participants through their wellness journey.

In addition to workshops and keynote sessions, participants will have ample opportunity to enjoy the amenities of the Heidel House, including wonderful food, nature walks, spa services, an evening cruise, swimming, water sports and more.

Breakout sessions will focus on building vitality through foods and herbs, having a healthy relationship with food, incorporating exercise into your life, the healing properties of auromatherapy, and keeping socially connected through the lifespan.

On Saturday evening, participants will enjoy a cruise on Green Lake and end the night with a fun dance party that includes instruction in belly dance.

The retreat includes a two night stay, meals and snacks, professionally-led exercise sessions for all fitness levels, educational sessions led by experts in the areas of health and wellness, an evening cruise on Green Lake and the ability to purchase a chair massage.

There is limited space for this event. As an added bonus, UW Oshkosh alumni, faculty and staff receive a $50 registration discount.
