The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will commence the 144th academic year on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015 with activities for students, faculty and staff. The entire campus community is welcome and encouraged to attend these events.
This year’s Opening Day Convocation will be held at the Alumni Welcome and Conference Center (AWCC). Hop aboard the trolley to to the Alumni Welcome and Conference Center. The trolley will begin at 7:15 a.m. (View map)

Alumni Welcome and Conference Center Great Hall
The Opening Day continental breakfast will be served inside the Great Hall. Meet colleagues, enjoy refreshments and celebrate the beginning of the new academic year. Commemorative t-shirts will be available for those who sign up.

The convocation includes campus news and updates from Chancellor Andrew Leavitt as well as the presentation of faculty, academic staff and University staff awards.

Enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of UW Oshkosh as students, faculty and staff celebrate the beginning of the new academic year.
- 2 p.m. Opening Day Run/Walk/Stroll
Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC)
Faculty, staff and students are invited to join Chancellor Leavitt for the annual one, two, or three-mile run/walk/stroll beginning at 2 p.m. from the SRWC to Titan Stadium. Free commemorative T-shirts are available when you register online.
